IntroductionAuburn Housing Working Group (AHWG) was established in March 2010 response to the issues raised at AMI meetings. The issue of Housing has been one of the priority issues in the area and ADSi volunteered to convene this Working Group. This group provides not only Advocacy role but aims to address some issues directly using some case studies and local housing issues. This group will identify local housing issues and address those issues through discussions and strategic planning process. Link to other Housing Networks-The working group members will provide feedback to the other meetings or housing interagencies operating at local regional or state level. Focus of Auburn Housing Taskforce on the following areas – 1. Newly arrived Refugees and associated issues re: Housing and Renting in Auburn. Current MembershipADSi, Barnardos, ACL, Centrelink, ACCA, Auburn Council, Auburn Police, Berala Transitional Accommodation, St Vincent De Paul Society ,Affordable Community Housing, DoCS, Shelter NSW ,STARTTS, ADHC, WSCF MeetingsThird Thursday, every 2 months, from 2.30pm-4.30pm.
